Are you or someone you know a senior who needs help filling out insurance, HEAP or other forms? Do you need information on services that are available to you in the community? Are you having troubles paying your utilities? Contact a staff member at 419- 691-2254 or click on the button below to email us. Remember to include your phone number in the email. We will be able to help you or connect you to the services you need.
We provide transportation to and from the Senior Center for lunches and activities. We also provide scheduled trips to the grocery store, bank, pharmacy, post office, and more! To schedule transportation, call 419-691-2254 and ask for Derek at ext. 205.
There is a suggested donation of $1.00 per one-way trip.
The East Toledo Senior Activities Center, in conjunction with the Area Office on Aging, provides minor home repair to Lucas County residents who qualify with little or no cost to the senior.
The purpose of this program is to ensure that area seniors have a safe home in which to live in. All applicants must own the home in which they are living and that requires repairs and be current on their real estate taxes. If you or someone you know is in need of repairs, not limited to, but including window, gutters, plumbing, furnace, railings, tubs, etc. call the Senior Center and ask for the Home Repair Coordinator at (419) 691-2254 or click the link below..
You will be asked to fill out an application and provide proof of income. You will be placed on a waiting list in order of most pressing needs.
Housekeeping services for seniors living in East Toledo and Oregon includes dusting, vacuuming, dishes, laundry, bathrooms, etc. The housekeeper can also do shopping for the clients. Housekeeping suggested donation will be based on your household income and a sliding scale fee. Call our Office Clerk at 419-691-2254 ext. 204 to get more information or to sign up for housekeeping and/or grocery shopping assistance.
Program under construction
We provide lawn care and snow removal for those aged 60 and better. Please remember, even if you have been a Chore client in the past, you must call each year to be put on the list for summer lawn care. We have a limited number of spots, so call early. Chore suggested donation will be based on your household income and a sliding scale fee. To determine what your cost will be for Chore and/or get on the list, you call our Office Clerk at 419-691- 2254 ext. 204 or click on the button below to send an email. ETSC accepts referrals from Area Office on Aging, Aetna, and Buckeye for transportation service to clients that meet the requirements. We provide transportation to medically necessary appointments that are approved by the client’s caseworker. PASSPORT can also help with:
PASSPORT applicants must be 60 years of age, permanently residing in a non-institutional setting and financially meet the Medicaid waiver guidelines. To find out if you or someone you know is eligible or for more information, call: (419) 382-0624 ext. 126, 127, or 129 or 1-800-472-7277.
Nurse Kelly from the Lucas County Health Dept. and Mercy Health will be here once a month doing basic health checks such as blood sugar and blood pressures. She is usually here in the mornings. No appointments are necessary, so just come to the center.

Our food commodities is distributed on the second Tuesday of the month beginning at 9 a.m. The income guideline is 185% below poverty. Bags of food are available on a first come first serve basis.
In order to provide you with quality programs and services, we invite guest speakers to our center. These speakers are hand picked, and the topics they present are geared towards those aged 60 and better..
